Aero Surveys Limited was established in October 1995, with the objectives of providing Aerial Photography, Digital Mapping and Geographical Information System facilities to augment the efforts of the beleaguered Ghana Survey Department, using new technologies.

The company, since its inception has been pursuing the best of geographic information in a total systems approach.

Aerial Photography Equipment

The Company has two aircrafts:

i. Piper Aztec with registration 9G-ZAR

ii. Piper Aztec with registration G-BBTJ

These aircraft are both fitted with Computer Controlled Navigational Systems {CCNS-4}, Global Positioning Systems {G.P.S.} and Ziess 1015 Aerial photo cameras.

Ground Control Equipment

The acquisition of our latest Trimble TDC 1 Global Positioning System {G.P.S.} gives us centimeter real time accuracy in establishing our ground control network for mapping and generation of contour maps.    This latest addition to our ground control equipment was very critical in our project to map the Shama Ahanta Metropolitan Area.
